Prior to mounting, this coin was inspected by an expert numismatist specializing in ancient coins and comes with a certificate of authenticity guaranteeing the coin is genuine and as described here within. The coin is a 4th century bronze follis struck under Emperor Constantine I The Great between 306-337AD. The coin depicts Constantine’s portrait on the front. On the reverse, a wreath with the inscription “VOT XX”, which translates to “a vow of 10 years”. The pendant was 100% hand made in America by an expert jeweler and is comprised of genuine 14k yellow gold filled material. Gold filled material is similar to solid gold in structure and durability, but at a fraction of the price, while being vastly superior to gold plated material, as it will not wear off or change color over time.
