Genuine Ancient Roman Horse Coin in 14k Yellow Gold Filled Pendant
Prior to mounting, this coin was inspected by an expert numismatist specializing in ancient coins and comes with a certificate of authenticity guaranteeing the coin is genuine and as described here within. The coin is a 3rd century bronze coin stuck under Emperor Severus Alexander between 222-235AD in the Roman provincial city of Alexandria Troas. The coin depicts the emperor on the obverse. On the reverse, a grazing horse is depicted. In Troas, horses were revered as a symbol of the city's rich local mythology, connection to the Trojan region, and the historical importance of horse-breeding in its surrounding pastures. The pendant was 100% hand made in America by an expert jeweler and is comprised of genuine 14k yellow gold filled material. Gold filled material is similar to solid gold in structure and durability, but at a fraction of the price, while being vastly superior to gold plated material, as it will not wear off or change color over time.
