Prior to mounting this ancient coin, it was inspected by an expert numismatist specializing in ancient coinage and comes with a certificate of authenticity guaranteeing it is genuine and as described. The coin is bronze and minted between 246-222BC in the Egyptian Kingdom, city of Alexandria under the rule of the Greek Pharaoh Ptolemy III. The coin features the head of Zeus Ammon, a combination of the Greek king of the gods Zeus and the Egyptian god Ammon. On the reverse, a perched eagle is depicted. The chain pictured is not included
