Prior to mounting, this coin was inspected by an expert numismatist specializing in the field of ancient coinage and comes with a certificate of authenticity guaranteeing its genuine and as described. The coin is an Ancient Greek silver Drachm from the colony of Pontos, city of Amisos and was between 400-300BC. It features a beautiful portrait of the Queen of the Greek gods, Hera, alone with an owl on the reverse . The pendant was 100% hand made in America by an expert jeweler and is comprised of 14 karat yellow gold filled material. Gold filled material is similar to solid gold in durability and density but at a fraction of the price and far superior to gold plating as it will not wear off or change color like plated material.
