This pendant was 100% hand made in America by an expert jeweler. The coin has been inspected by an expert numismatist and comes with a certificate of authenticity guaranteed to be genuine and as described. The coin is a silver Obol and was struck in the Ancient Greek colony of Pisidia, city of Selge, between 350-300BC. The coin features the helmeted portrait of the Greek goddess of wisdom and strategy, Athena on one side . On the other, the head of Medusa is depicted. In Ancient Greek culture, Medusa symbolized protection and wearers of the symbol were believed to be protected from all harm. The coin is held safely through tension, unmarked and can be removed at any point. The pendant is comprised of 100% genuine solid 14 karat yellow gold. The gold chain pictured is not included
