Ancient Greek Medusa and Nike in Sterling silver pendant

Prior to mounting, this coin was inspected by an expert numismatist specializing in ancient coinage and comes with a certificate of authenticity guaranteeing its genuine and as described here within. This pendant contains a bronze Ancient Greek coin from the Kingdom of Pontos and was minted between 85-40BC. The coin features the depiction of Medusa, a gorgon. This depiction was often placed on armor, shields and medallions as it was believed it would ward off evil and protect the wearer from harm. The reverse shows the goddess of victory, Nike, advancing forward with a palm branch in hand (a symbol of victory). The pendant was also 100% hand made in the USA by an expert jeweler and is comprised of sterling silver.
