Prior to mounting, this coin was inspected by an expert numismatist specializing in the field of ancient coinage and comes with a certificate of authenticity guaranteeing its genuine and as described. The coin is a bronze Ancient Greek coin from the kingdom of Pontos, minted during the reign of Mithradates VI between 100-85BC. The obverse features the head of Ares, the god of war. On the reverse, a Greek sword sheathed in its scabbard is depicted, symbolizing strength and power. The pendant was 100% hand made in America by an expert jeweler and is comprised of 14k yellow gold filled material. Gold filled material is similar to standard gold in look and durability but at a fraction of the cost and far superior to gold plated material and will not fade, wear off or change color.
