Prior to mounting this medieval coin, it was inspected by an expert numismatist specializing in ancient coinage and comes with a certificate of authenticity guaranteeing it is genuine and as described. The coin is a silver denaro of exceptional quality, minted between the 12th and 13th century in the Italian state of Genoa. The coin features the Christian cross on the obverse, the symbol of the crusades. On the reverse, a castle is symbolized, depicting strength in the defense of Christianity. The coin has extremely high detail, beautiful color and luster, making it an exceptional example. The chain pictured is not included
