Prior to mounting, this coin was inspected by an expert numismatic specializing in ancient coinage and comes with a certificate of authenticity guaranteeing its genuine and as described. The coin is a bronze follis minted anonymously in the Byzantine Empire under Emperors Basil II or Constantine VIII between 976-1025AD. The coin features a beautiful copper cabinet toning that expatiates the portrait of Jesus Christ, holding the gospels. On the reverse, an inscription is written that translates to “Jesus Christ King of Kings”. The pendant was 100% hand made in America by an expert jeweler and is comprised of 14k yellow gold filled material. Gold filled material is similar in look and durability as solid gold but at a fraction of the price while being vastly superior to gold plating as it will not flake off or change color over time.
