Prior to mounting, this coin was inspected by an expert numismatist specializing in the field of ancient coinage and comes with a certificate of authenticity guaranteeing its genuine and as described. The coin is a bronze 4th century Roman follis AE3 struck under Constantine the Great between 330-337AD to commemorate the founding of Rome. The obverse features the godly manifestation of Rome as Roma, wearing a helmet. The reverse features the mythological story of the founders of Rome, Romulus and Remus as babies, suckling upon a she-wolf. The pendant was 100% hand made in America by an expert jeweler and is comprised of 14k yellow gold filled material. Gold filled material is similar to solid gold in structure and durability but at a fraction of the cost, while being vastly superior to gold plated jewlery, as it won’t wear off or change color.
