Prior to mounting, this coin was inspected by an expert numismatist and comes with a certificate of authenticity guaranteeing its genuine. The coin is an Ancient Greek silver Drachm from the Macedonian Empire, struck under Alexander the Great between 336-323BC. The coin features an obverse of Alexander as Hercules, wearing the Nemian lions head dress. The reverse features Zeus seated in a throne. The pendent was 100% hand made in America by an expert jeweler and is comprised of 14 karat yellow gold filled material. Gold filled material is similar to solid gold but a fraction of the price while being substantially superior to gold plated material, as it will not wear off or change color.
